Bill and Jen: A Kiawah Island Wedding Full of Heart, Heritage, and Ocean Views

Jen and Bill’s love story feels like it was written in the stars — or at the very least, along the glittering coastlines of Italy and the Carolina Sea Islands.

It all began with a friendship. Jen became best friends with Bill’s sister, Anna — never realizing that connection would lead to the love of her life. Over time, friendship grew into something more, and eventually, Jen and Bill’s relationship blossomed into the real thing: a steady, joyful, once-in-a-lifetime kind of love.

On June 5, 2023, while on a romantic trip to Sorrento, Italy, Bill planned the perfect proposal. After a magical day exploring Capri, the couple returned to their hotel — but the moment didn’t go quite as smoothly as planned. Jen was carsick from the long, winding drive up the cliffs. Meanwhile, Bill was trying everything to convince her to join him out on their terrace, where he had a surprise waiting. Finally, despite the queasy stomach and long day, Jen stepped outside — and there, overlooking the stunning views of the Amalfi Coast, Bill asked her to spend forever with him.

Fast forward to their wedding day on the breathtaking Ocean Course at Kiawah Island Golf Resort. The setting was pure magic: the breeze off the Atlantic, the golden light, and their closest family and friends gathered to celebrate their love story.

Jen and Bill wove meaningful Jewish traditions into their ceremony — honoring their roots and beginning their marriage with timeless rituals. The moment became even more special when Anna, the woman who unknowingly started it all, officiated the ceremony. She shared a heartfelt speech at dinner, filled with personal memories, warmth, and love — all set against the backdrop of a stunning ocean sunset.

As the reception began, the celebration kicked into high gear. The Horah brought everyone to their feet — laughter, dancing, and so much joy radiated from the dance floor. Every detail, every moment, was a reflection of who they are: warm, connected, and deeply in love.

From a friendship sparked years ago to vows exchanged beside the sea, Jen and Bill’s wedding was nothing short of unforgettable.
