Maybe it was the amount of fun and laughter shared amongst the family and friends, or the beautiful 80-degree weather, or maybe the fact there was so much love in the air, but on October 7, 2017, Molly and Tim exchanged their vows at the Hyde Park Farm & Polo Club in Ravenel, South Carolina and it was all so magical.
Molly and Tim met 4 years ago while sitting next to one another in physical therapy school and the rest was history. Tim proposed to Molly on June 4, 2017 while visiting family in South Carolina. The nostalgia in this was surreal because it was at his sister’s property in Awendaw, South Carolina, which just so happens to be the same location of their first date, where they went kayaking. Sneaking his soon-to-be bride away and walking to that very same dock, Tim asked Molly to be his wife, and in that moment their world stood still. They currently reside in Colorado with their sweet dog.
I didn’t have the pleasure of meeting Molly and Tim until the day of their wedding where I was greeted with such love and energy. Molly’s mother played a huge role in the planning of this wedding, and in only 5 short months. To say this couple is the thankful or “go-with-the-flow” type would be an understatement considering they had to change the location last minute due to the most recent hurricane. Molly and Tim both share the love of anything outdoors but mostly spend their time together hiking, skiing, and playing volleyball and tennis.
It all came together on a gorgeous, fall day on a 380-acre farm surrounded by beautiful, Spanish moss trees that made for the perfect back drop for photos. Molly chose slate blue and green for the color scheme and it coordinated so well with the natural beauty of the location. During the ceremony, Tim’s friend played the piano and the couple took a moment, stepping aside to say a quick prayer and talk amongst themselves. The message was delivered by a pastor, friend of Tims’ dad, which followed by a scripture reading and communion. There was lots of energy going into the reception where the couple danced the evening away.
Tim and Molly, I am so grateful that I had the privilege of photographing your wedding and for you both allowing me to play a small part in the large success of your marriage. Cheers!
