There is something about a small, intimate wedding that showcases true love at its best. Sharing your most special occasion to date with only your loved ones allows the photos to speak for themselves.
Bailey and Dustin met 5 years ago while attending Middle Tennesse State University. Due to Bailey’s career, she was relocated to Charleston, South Carolina. Little did she know this very day, August 17, would be one that she would never forget, because not only was it Dustin’s birthday but also the day he popped the question. As luck has it, I was in the right place at the right time. I met Bailey while taking headshots at TEK Systems where she is employed.
June 10, 2017 on the rooftop of Upstairs at Midtown, Bailey and Dustin exchanged vows in front of 40 members of their family. The couple allowed one hour for photos to be taken around downtown, and what better backdrop than historic Charleston with its beautiful buildings and stunning cobblestone streets. Stopping traffic on King Street to capture a special moment shared by these two was unforgettable.
Upstairs at Midtown has spectacular views of overlooking downtown Charleston and the brick walls that encaged the ceremony. They stood underneath bundles of fresh eucalyptus and the smell was to die for. Bailey’s 2 sisters stood by her side wearing the most stunning floral dresses. Their flower arrangements consisted of peonies and roses in shades of pinks and white.
This may have been a small wedding but it most certainly did not skip any details. From the wedding cake wrapped in what looked like sheets of gold, to the men sharing rolled cigars, to the dancing beneath lights streamed across the patio, Bailey and Dustin’s day was a magical day and one that no one was sure to forget.
Not surprised at all, Bailey and Dustin’s big day was published in Wedding Row. A week after their nuptials Bailey’s job relocated them to Tennessee. Charleston may no longer be their home but will forever be near and dear to their hearts.
